Gen is a tall, athletic young man with a lean yet muscular build. His hair is naturally all black, but he dyed the front section of his hair grey to give it a two-toned colour. This allows him to switch his hairstyle between a black bob with hints of grey and slicked back, revealing the majority of his grey hair. He also has sharp, red eyes and his eyebrows are very short and thick.
